2012 Season Announcement

Hello Gator Families!
I hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day, and that your winter has been well.  Summer is just around the corner, and attached is a list of important dates for you.  There are a couple of tentative dates on the list, but unless indicated, everything is on OUR calendar as well as on the CLUB calendar.

We have dates for the 8 and Under meet, the District Meet, and Sundance Finals.  Those are on the attachment.  The coaches and Sundance representatives will meet on March 8 to begin making the summer meet schedule.  As you know, that process is evolving throughout the spring.  I'll let you know dates as soon as we have them.  We will host a maximum of four meets at Four Hills, and those will likely be on Wednesday afternoons.

As you review the attachment, be thinking about where you can be involved.  There are MANY opportunities that suit a variety of personlities.  If you want to take charge of something, there is a place for you.  If you want to just be told what to do, there is place for you.  If you're good with a stop watch, there is a place for you.  If you have a bad back, there is a place for you.  If you make great pancakes, there is place for you.  If you can sweep or move a chair, there is a place for you.  Do you get it?  We want your help this summer, whoever you are!

This season, Julie Ellis will rejoin our group as Treasurer.  I still have an opening for Secretary.  If you are interested, contact me and I will give you some details.  Beginning today, I will be checking the Super Gator email account daily.  Also, we are thrilled to welcome our entire coaching staff back for the summer - Daniel Paredes, head coach; Taylor Busby, assistant coach; Britta Beasley, assistant coach; Amanda Truelock, assistant coach.

Finally, if the Gator transfer on your suit from last year has peeled off significantly, let me know via email as soon as possible, and I'll make arrangements to get it from you.  Streamline Swimming wants to fix it for you.  I sent an email about this in the fall, and only received suits from one family.  Now is the time!

As your friends begin to make summer plans, please invite them to join us on the Gator Swim Team.  We have a couple of age groups that are a little thin, and as always, the more the merrier!

Be looking for additional emails the closer we get to registration.  I'm looking SO forward to seeing all of you and your kids!

Gator Swim Team President
