July 19 - July 26 Important

Monday: July 19  Practice
Tuesday:  July 20  Practice and stroke and turn  Spirit Night (you must prepay and make reservations to eat by Friday July 16), but anyone may attend the event.  Games and swimming, Parent meeting, 5:30--Dinner will be served at 6:00
Wednesday:  July 21: practice
Thursday:  July 22:  Regionals at Belen.  Report time 
7:00am, meet begins at 8:20.  map at www.fhccgators.com
    Bring shade and chairs.  We will have a designated area to set up.  Try to line your tents up for the most shade possible.  Food will be sold.
   ***Parents will NOT be allowed to stay with their children after they check in for their race.  Listen for calls for races.  You must report on time to the clerk of course.  Heats and races are finalized and no changes will be made.   STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS TO TIME!!!!!
  ***Relays will be determined on Thursday.  You will  receive a phone call in the afternoon or early evening if you are on the team or an alternate.
Friday:  July 23: 8:30AM Mandatory Practice for all individual qualifiers and relay team members and alternates ONLY 
SaturdaySundance Finals:  Report time  6:45AM    Meet starts at  8:40
    Bring shade and chairs,  set up in designated areas.  The entire pool will be closed to the general public this year.  No food sales, so bring food and drinks.  Free relays are in the middle of the meet, before the break.
     The outdoor pool will be open for swimming after the free relays for everyone.  If you are swimming in long free, breast or fly, you may not swim until after all of your races are over.
Monday:  July 26  Banquet , 5:30--Reservations due by Wednesday, July 21st.  Sign up at pool.

 OUR TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR VOLUNTEER COORDINATION FOR THE MEET. I WILL BE AT A TABLE ORGANIZING THE VOLUNTEERS AND HAVE 2 HELPERS FOR THIS POSITION.  WE ONLY NEED 6 MORE  PEOPLE FOR THE MEET. 

 YOU HAVE A GREAT VIEW OF THE RACES WHEN TIMING.  THERE ARE 3 TIMERS PER LANE WITH BACKUP TIMERS IF YOU FORGET TO START YOUR WATCH.  BACKUP VOLUNTEERS WORK IF SOMEONE DOES NOT SHOW UP FOR THEIR ASSIGNMENT.   


Officers 2011/2012 Seasons
We are still taking nominations for all offices. We do have someone interested in Treasurer, but need nominations for President and Secretary.  If you are or know someone who might want to take these positions please come forward or nominate someone.  You will receive help and support from the outgoing officers.  The team needs you!!!

Announcements

Spirit Night reservations:  $6 per person eating, due by Friday, 9:00AM with payment to FHCC Swimteam.   NO EXCEPTIONS!

Banquet reservations:  due by Wednesday, July 21st.  FHCC Members may charge to account, nonmembers need to prepay--checks to FHCC Swimteam.  No walk ins, sorry.  

ADULTS $18.75ea

CHILDREN (6-12 YEARS) $9.75ea

5 AND UNDER FREE


Look for sign at pool for person collecting money.  Signups will be posted on board.  We have lots of deadlines so please be prompt, we don't want  you to be left out!!!
