Hi Everyone,
If you participated in NM Games, I hope you had a fun day!

I have LOTS to share with you regarding the upcoming week, but I won't put it all in one email.  Be sure to pay attention to emails that will follow regarding district volunteers, Sundance volunteers, and slide show pictures.

Monday, July 16
7:30 - 11 and up practice
8:30 - 10 and under warm-up (followed by practice @ 9)
10:00 - FINAL PRE-TEAM PRACTICE (Please make every effort to attend, as the coaches/board have a small token from the season for you!)
*Note that there is NO STROKE AND TURN TODAY
6:00 - OPENING CEREMONIES (a.k.a "Spirit Night")  Come ready to eat and have a blast, while the team gets ramped up for District!  The cost is $3 per person, and the drive-through car decorating begins early at 5:30.  See the flyer at the pool or in your inbox for details.

Tuesday, July 17
7:30 - 11 and up practice
8:30 - 10 and under warm-up (followed by practice @ 9)

Wednesday, July 18
7:30 - 11 and up practice
8:30 - 10 and under warm-up (followed by practice @ 9)

Thursday, July 19:  DISTRICT MEET, Rainbow Pool in Rio Rancho
Report time:  6:45 a.m.
FHCC Warm-up time:  7:15 a.m.
Meet starts:  7:45 a.m.

The gates to Rainbow Pool will be open at 6:00 a.m.  The respective set-up areas for the teams will be emailed along with a map of the pool, and will be designated with signs around the pool area.  As always, bring chairs and shade.  Directions to the pool will also be sent out early in the week.  It is possible that Rainbow Pool will run concessions, but I have to get confirmation about that tomorrow.  Sundance t-shirts will also be for sale at this meet (not sure how much).  Please look for an email to follow containing instructions for volunteers.  I need 3 more lane monitors and 2 more timers.  If I don't get them, the volunteers I currently have must work the WHOLE meet - please don't let this happen.  Also, all four teams are combining efforts to make sure the computer data entry is taken care of.  One person is needed to enter data, one person to dictate times to the data entry person, and possibly one runner to deliver paper results.  If you can help, please let me know - you will be indoors!

NO STROKE AND TURN THURSDAY EVENING

Friday, July 20
8:30-9:30  Practice for QUALIFIERS ONLY (Come to this practice ONLY if you qualified for the finals in an individual event, or were contacted by Coach Daniel to swim on a relay or be a relay alternate.)

Saturday, July 21 - SUNDANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS, West Mesa Aquatic Center
Report time: TBA
Warm-up time: TBA
Meet start time:  TBA

Look for an email to follow regarding volunteer duties for Sundance and other instructions.

Saturday Night, July 21 - HIGH POINT PARTY
The High Point Party is a Gator tradition where the swimmer who earns the most individual points at the Sundance Championship "invites" all of the qualifiers over to their house for a celebration following the meet.  Typically, the host provides the home and one main dish, and the rest of the qualifiers/families bring sides and desserts.  We won't know for sure who the High Point person is until after the meet, so if you think your swimmer has a chance, you may want to go ahead and vacuum on Friday night :)  Details to come as the events unfold...

Tuesday, July 24
6:30 p.m. - whenever:  CLOSING CEREMONIES (a.k.a. "End of the Season Banquet")
Wear your red, white, and blue for dinner, individual swimmer awards, volunteer recognition, and DANCING. Don't miss this event - it's the perfect way to end the season

Keep checking your inbox for other updates.  I'll be as brief as I can be.
Go Gators!!
Molly
